That verse, Galatians 6:9, continues to say, “For at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Can you guess where I’m going with this blog? Glory to Jesus!
We received an email a few days ago that opened my eyes to what may be a big reason that Jesus… No Greater Love has yet to be fully funded. I mean, I am overwhelmed by those Producers who’ve come on board. But at the end of the day it’s going to take millions of us, and that has yet to burst forth. Here’s the email…
I want so much for the “John” film to be out there saving souls for Yeshua, I know you can’t do it alone. We started giving to the film and suddenly I guess we got discouraged, the goal seems so big and so hard to reach, but I guess that is not our problem, our job is to believe and to do what we can. Please accept our monthly donation of $25 starting in February and may the Lord bless every donation that is given for the making of this film for the glory of HIS name.
May I be uncharacteristically bold and ask those of us who haven’t yet given, does that email sound close to home? I’m speaking specifically of the part where this most precious saint writes, “the goal seems so big and so hard to reach“? Does that ring as a familiar thought to you? Have you been hearing that same whisper, or perhaps something similar?
Yes, the goal is very big – bigger than big. And the goal is hard to reach – literally impossible in human terms. But therein lies the key – this isn’t a “human terms” thing. It’s a God thing. And that means all things – parting the Red Sea, raising the dead, slaying armies in their sleep, and even Jesus… No Greater Love - are possible. With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God (Mark 10:27).
If not for that literal reality, there’s no way I’d even consider this – or any ministry, for that matter. I mean, if God isn’t everything that God is, then please, someone tell me now - I’ll close shop in a heartbeat and happily return to my secular acting career and a life of weekends sitting on the beach. Glory to Jesus!
But the truth is that God is everything that God is – everything that Jesus, as a man, demonstrated and was himself. Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father (John 14:9). Jesus Christ is the same, yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8). Glory to Jesus!
The only real question is this that each and every one of us has to answer for ourselves… do I really, truly, deep in the core of my being, as demonstrated by the way I make choices, live my life, pursue what I pursue… believe it? “Aye, matey,” whispers Captain Jack Sparrow, “Thar be the big-time rub!” Praise to Jesus.
I may be very wrong, but I personally feel that the entire reason the world continues to travail, why we so rarely see God do first century miracles, why the vast majority of believers continue to strive and suffer beneath the soul-weight of hurt and sin, why so many of our lives and marriages appear no different than non-believers’… is because “really, truly, deeply” we don’t.
Yes, we know it in our heads, and we shout hallelujah when it’s preached, but deep inside, when it comes to our own lives… well, you get the idea. Oh Father, your mercy!
As for me, I flat refuse to believe that God is less than who he is. I’ve staked my life and reputation on it. I’ve made huge, dramatic, life-altering choices because of it. And also… I’ve seen it. I’ve experienced it. And I can flatly tell you, it has ruined me for “normal living.”
Can I share a couple more emails with you? One is from YouTube: Dear NewJesusMovie, your video, Bruce Marchiano Casts the Vision for the Film, has become popular on YouTube and you’re eligible to apply for the YouTube Partnership Program, which allows you to earn funds from playbacks of your video.
And this email from The Church Law Group, who believes in this vision so much, they dedicated one of their Podcasts exclusively to us. It went out to 25,000 pastors and Christian leaders across America just yesterday afternoon, and today I woke to this simple email from them… You’re approaching 3,000 opens. Well done.
Then there is this email we just received from Kay Arthur’s Executive Assistant: Kay asked that I contact you… please send us a packet for both (a well known Christian leader) and (another well known Christian leader) and we will forward it to each of them.
And finally this one I just received today from a “Chadian” (the country of Chad, Africa): I just emailed your assistant asking her if she could put Chad on the map… I am going to spread the word to the Chadian community, plant the seed and by the grace of God, Father will make it grow!
What does all that mean? It simply and so breathtakingly means “with God all things are possible.” I mean, with the thousands upon thousands of videos on YouTube, we get that many viewings – a video of me asking Christians to give to souls? Like, are you joking?
With all the busyness of church leaders, 3,000 of them take the time to stop and listen to a podcast of me talking about Jesus… No Greater Love? And that’s only within the first 24 hours.
And with all the demands on a renowned Christian leader like Kay Arthur, she wants to contact other renowned Christian leaders to get them involved in the film (if you knew their names you’d fall off your chair). And how on earth does a ”Chadian” even find out about Jesus… No Greater Love, let alone run around rallying their Chadian brothers/sisters?
Forgive me for speaking so strongly, but only God can do those things. I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut (Rev. 3:8). I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron (Isaiah 45:2). Glory to Jesus!
May I humbly suggest – and again, I could be very wrong about this… You know what those “gates of bronze,” those “bars of iron,” those mountains that need to be leveled are?
Among many other things such as, “I don’t know if I can afford ten dollars;” “I’ll wait to see if others are giving;” “I’ll do it tomorrow”… stands “the goal seems so big and so hard to reach.”
My friends, the goal is big and so hard to reach. And the road is long – I should know, I’ve been walking it for years now. But we serve a God for whom nothing is impossible. And we, as his children, either come to the same conclusion as that precious saint who was open to God’s voice enough to recognize that the discouragement she and her husband were feeling wasn’t of the Lord… “But I guess that is not our problem, our job is to believe and to do what we can.”
May I be uncharacteristically bold again, and ask you who haven’t yet become Producers, to re-think that – to honestly ask yourself the question, “Why?” and humbly face the answer. And if it’s an answer that doesn’t flow with the fullness of who God is, with the obvious will of his heart to save souls, with the faith that it takes to give to something like this… may I ask that you force yourself to turnabout, and “believe,” and “do what we can.”
I want to ask another favor of you who haven’t yet given. I want to hear from you via your comments below, or if you prefer, email us at info@newjesusmovie.com. I promise you, I read every email that comes through, and I want you to be open as to why you haven’t given - feel free to do it anonymously if you’d like.
I mean, for all I know, we’ve been doing everything wrong – and I need to know about it. So please take the time and comment or email. And at the same time, you who have already given, please do the same, letting us know why you’ve joined us as a Producer – I need to know that too.
And finally, because I know each and every one of us faces our own “Red Sea” in one way or the other, please be ever-so-blessed to know – and not just know, but know ”really, truly, deep in the core of your being” –
With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God (Mark 10:27).
“Yes, my child, I Am the God of the impossible,” says the Lord. “For it is in the impossible that my glory is revealed and my nature is displayed. It is in the impossible that my love for you manifests – that my greatest hope for you is realized.
I Am, my child, and I Am… can.” Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.

o.k. Bruce, I really am trying not to cry at this moment and it has been difficult – if you understood this really bad cold I have been dealing with (probably flu) than you would know why but after reading the blog, well, the tears have been flowing. I am so blessed to see how the word or should I say, The Word, is spreading all over the world. Today I just watched on the Catholic station, the March for Life in Washington D. C. which just happened a week or so ago and nothing, nothing, was mentioned on the news at all. There were over 300 thousand people in attendance, standing for Life. In fact, Terri Shivo, for those who remember that case in the news, her family were there speaking out against euthanasia and were standing and marching for life. It is like you sit in your small corner of the world and think that you are the only one who cares but thanks to Marchiano Ministries and yes, the catholic network, I know, we know that there are many , many , many , many more who have a heart for Jesus, a heart for life. Truly is remarkable, as someone who has given and so prays that the Lord will bless her to be able to give again financially, I can honestly say the blessings I receive from testimonies like the above mentioned emails are well worth it. To see people from all around the globe coming on board, it reminds me of a painting that my mom has in her living room of Jesus and the disciples on the boat, and they are casting their nets and in the water instead of fish, there are people, “Fishers of Men,” is the title of the painting from Mark 1:17. What is even more amazing is that the vision that the Lord gave you is manifesting right before our eyes and I praise Him day and night for allowing me the opportunity to witness His glory.
Praise Jesus or as you so often say Bruce, “Glory 2 Jesus!”
Bruce,the vision that God has placed on your heart will happen. That is a promise from Him. The journey you are on is not easy, any of us can see that. He gave you so much passion for this project, because He knew the journey would be tricky. People out there are fighting economical woes as well as spiritual battles, however I believe so strongly that it is going to happen suddenly. It will be like a flood as the hearts of people will be touched by this – being part of all this. Praying for you all the time (God placed that on my heart since 2000) Through your faithfulness, so many lives are being touched and changed. I keep on praying for ways on how to tell people about this. God is faithful and will do it in His time.

I want to echo Mark 10:27 (“With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God” with another verse – Jeremiah 32:17 – “O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for You!
I believe this with my whole heart, and I proclaim this verse over this ministry in the wonderful and powerful name of Jesus! How I want to encourage you with these words, and dare and urge you never to give up hope – God is in control, and He will make a way. Remember the words from Don Moen’s song? “God will make a way
Where there seems to be no way
He works in ways we cannot see
He will make a way for me
He will be my guide”.
Bruce, this is only the beginning, there are many similar words that come to mind, like Philippians 4:13: “For I can do everything through Christ”, or what about Isaiah 43:19 “Isa 43:19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
The Lord knows about every seed that has been sown and He will bless it so that it may yield a harvest at the appropriate time, and I pray that the Lord will quicken the time of the harvest, so that this film can reach the millions of souls still lost and waiting on Him.
I am one of those who have longed for this film to be made – every once and again I find myself yearning to experience a special message of hope, love and authority, only to realize that it is “John” I’m yearning for! I’m convinced that this film has a unique message which will only be released once it is made. How much longer to wait, Lord? Let Your Kingdom come and Your Glory be known over all the earth!
I pray that the Lord will rise up a great army of prayer warriors in these last days, who will pray feverishly and with a sense of urgency for this film to be launched – and the ministry that will flow from it, to be realized…. at last.

I became a producer at the urging of the Lord. Please forgive my bumbling attempt to explain the unexplained (for Gods ways are so wondrous it’s hard to put into words). I came to a point in my life I simply got tired of my own disbelief and came to the conclusion God can do anything. I’m striving for a deeper relationship with Jesus. I want a closeness with Him that comes from yearning after Him. I choose to sit at His feet, open my heart and learn of Him. More, deeper, wider and higher.
Isaiah 43:16, & 18-19 says:
This is what the LORD says-
he who made a way through the sea,
a path through the mighty waters,
Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up: do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
My prayers have been – Lord, let me PERCEIVE IT and- boy howdy – has He ever!! Taking a deeper drink of the living water is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. Which leads me to how I became a producer. Nine months ago I had never heard of the new jesus movie or Bruce Marchiano. I use music videos sometimes during my personal worship of Jesus. I came across one with scenes from “Matthew” used in it. Over several weeks I was drawn back to the video. Intrigued I “googled” Bruce Marchiano and up popped the Gospel According to John site. I read through the info and found it interesting and nothing more. But the Lord kept bringing me back time and again. He just wouldn’t let up! So I prayed about it but I tell you the truth, what good is it if I don’t listen. So I listened – really listened and at His gentle nudging sent my donation. I don’t know what God has in mind but I do know He has an awesome sense of humor! If you could only see from my view on this side of the story – I live in a town so small it doesn’t even have a stop light. Every time I think about it I laugh with great joy….God is God. He sees to it that His will is carried out no matter the circumstance. I believe with my whole heart this movie is what He wants – another tool to be used to see souls saved. Do you not perceive it? I sure do! He’s up to something good.

My husband and I have a burden for our neighborhood. We want them to know Jesus. Years ago, we purchased the video where you portrayed the role of Jesus in the film. We loved it and then purchased the book you made later from still photos taken during the shooting of the video. We loved it too. In fact, it still has a prominent place in our living room.
For years, we have given about 12-15 people Christmas goodies and something about knowing God. I felt led to buy you book for each of them. It was costly, but we decided God wanted us to do it and so we did.
We live in a multiculture neighborhood that is wonderful, but most still do not know Jesus. We have been pondering offering something about God in our home, but could not figure out how to go about such a venture. About three weeks ago, I came up with the idea of inviting them to something we would call information about, “Who is Jesus?” I
We feel this would be the very best way to reach them by telling them the most importnat thing they will ever hear and that is who this one is that we love.
Now, my next challenge is to write about all I can find out and put it into a format that is winsome, accurate, and compelling . . . and that could be talked about over a period of weeks, or more, if there was interest.
My husband talked with Lee Strobel who just preached a message about his study of the validity of Jesus and His resurrection. His book is excellent on the subject, but is more data based than we would want for a format for unbelievers who seem satisfied with their lives as they are. He told him about our idea and Mr. Strobel seemed interested in the idea of a home Bible study about Jesus for neighborhoods.
I do not know if you have any suggestins for us, but I do know we would want to use your film when it is completed becasue we value your work and your wanting to portray Jesus in the same way we do.
